SWSTech uses newest generation milling machines from the machine tool manufacturer Chiron.
The machines FZ12 KS 5-axis and FZ15 KS 5-axis are characterized by high dynamics and high precision.
For both machines the linear axes X-Y-Z are moving the spindle head.
Two rotary axes are turning and swivelling the work piece about the A and C direction.
The linear axis positioning is controlled by direct measurements on glass meters.
The FZ12 machine is operated in an air conditioned workshop.
Therefore, it is best suited for milling processes with highest precision demands.
Furthermore, it is possible to use the C-table for turning operations.
Due to its strong and powerful spindle drive the FZ15 machine is the best option for economical machining of demanding materials.
The acquisition of a 3D coordinate measurement machine is under way.
